A Fishing Boat leaving Port Jefferson at the same time as us. They had about 15 fishermen on board and were headed just outside the bay.

As we were leaving a fery went by us. We had to move outside the buoy again. Fortunately I checked the depth and we were OK. They were headed into Port Jefferson.
The rollers were running 5 to 6 feet high but all the fishermen were outside the bay close together. However some of them were in these little 16 foot fishing boats. You wouldn’t catch me in one of them with those waves.
We missed the tide headed for Oyster Bay. We were only doing about 3.5 knots and we took forever to get to Oyster Bay. The wind was blowing at about 25 knots so it was really rough. But we did make it after about 8 hours.
We didn’t have any internet service so we are a bit behind.
