We don’t have a name for this light house but it was right in the middle of the Hudson River. Notice the large bell in the second picture. Maybe for those foggy nights?
This was at the entrance to a creek. Pretty big creek Esopus Creek. (I didn’t pick the name)
We are traveling a little stressed looking for someplace we can get the Genoa Halyard fixed. I can’t do it along the river. Not ready to get up the mast and have a boat go by and start the boat rocking while I’m hanging onto the top of the mast swinging back and forth. So we have a dilemma. It may have to wait until Boston. It will be done without endangering anyone. Also looking for a marina with a few spare parts pulleys mostly.
But we are just short of Kingston NY anchored out. (No slip fee)
A doctor, a dentist and an attorney were in a boat together when a wave came along and washed them all overboard. Unable to get back into the boat, they decided two would hold on to the boat and the third would swim to shore for help.
They noticed that there were hundreds of sharks between them and land. Without a word the lawyer took off! As he swam the sharks move aside. The dentist yelled, “it’s a miracle!”
“No”, said the doctor, “That’s professional courtesy!”
